Armen Simoniants

Head Coach

2nd Season

(718) 982-3162         armica11@yahoo.com

Bringing a wealth of experience to the table, Armen Simoniants was named head coach of the team in June, 2008, and recently completed his first year with the program in 2009.  He will prepare to lead the team again this fall on its continued path towards improvement.  The Dolphins are 11 years removed from their last championship, and are hoping a visit to the top of the standings will be achieved under Simoniants.

Possessing a United States Soccer Federation “A” Professional Coaching License, Simoniants comes to CSI fresh off of a one-year assistant coaching stint at nearby City College of New York.  Prior to that, Simoniants was the head coach at FC Olympia, a professional soccer organization in the Republic of Moldova.  In 2002, he coached the New York Metrostars Reserve team in the MLS.

Since 2001, Simoniants has also been a coach and instructor with the NJYSA and USASF youth coaching schools, where his fundamental principles are to teach the theories and practices of soccer, as well as offering classroom lessons and on-site evaluations of top-tiered youth academies and pro clubs.

His wealth of experience, respect for the game, and discipline taught to his teams have made him one of the most respected coaches in his field, and the Dolphins are hoping that translates into a host of successes.
