Box Score The College of Staten Island men's volleyball team left little to doubt this evening on their home floor, cruising past Medgar Evers College by a 3-0 count at the Sports & Recreation Center in a match that did not count towards the CUNYAC standings.  For the Dolphins it marked the first time they posted back-to-back wins all year, winning by scores of 25-2, 25-11, and 25-10.  The Dolphins improved to 5-9 overall, while the Cougars fell to 0-19.

It was all Dolphins from start to finish in the first set, as CSI scored the final 15 points of the first set, powered by six Steven Caruso aces.  In the second set, MEC took a quick, 2-0 lead before CSI exercised a 14-1 run, highlighted by two Mark Palencia aces and kills.  The Dolphins were on cruise control from there, getting many reserve players in the game as well.  Richard Vallejos and Corey Coronel each appeared for the first time this season in the set, which was ultimately won, 25-11.

In the final set, players like Justice Stoute and Samuel Dales earned valuable time as well.  At one point, Stoute recorded three-straight aces, helping CSI to a 10-3 start, and later Dales added two aces himself in the romp to extend CSI to 20-9.

Leading the way for the Dolphins was junior Danil Kukovitskiy, who finished with eight kills on 9 attacks.  Anthony Vigilante added a team high six digs while Caruso scored seven total aces with Palencia adding six. Jovon Scott scored two kills to lead MEC.  Scott and Justin Sutton each led MEC with five digs.

The Dolphins will next be in action on Monday, March 20, when they travel to Ramapo College for a 7pm, non-conference, affair.
