Box Score The College of Staten Island men's volleyball squad broke up their season-long 9 game losing skid tonight, beating Brooklyn College by a 3-0 count as part of CUNYAC play at the Sports & Recreation Center.  CSI won by scores of 25-13, 25-16, and 25-19.  The win lifted CSI to 5-13 overall and 4-6 in the CUNYAC, while the Bulldogs fell to 0-21, 0-9, respectively.

CSI got off to a quick, 2-0, lead, but CSI was able to come back and score four straight points, and the Dolphins eventually extended to 10-6 on a Justin Edwardsen kill.  A kill by Dewayne Stewart then extended CSI to a big 15-8 lead and the Dolphins cruised from there.

CSI led from start to finish in the second frame, led by a Brian Sheydvasser kill.  A big 6-0 run lifted CSI to a 15-9 lead and they kept pace from there, as Sheydvasser and Stewart added kills.  Three kills by Danil Kukovitskiy towards the end of the frame sealed the deal for the Dolphins as well.

Brooklyn saved their best for last and kept pace the entire way with CSI, as the teams were tied as late as 16-16.  Once there, CSI took over, powered behind four Justin Edwardsen kills and two Edwardsen aces.

CSI was led by Sheydvasser's 12 kills on 23 attempts, with a team-leading 9 kills with two aces.  Edwardsen powered to 10 kills on 21 attempts, adding four aces to lead the team.  Song Shin Low added six kills with a team leading 23 assists.  Vaughn Ford led Brooklyn with six kills on 27 attempts.  He also led the way with eight digs.
