The College of Staten Island men's and women's swimming and diving teams fell for the second straight time this evening, this time succumbing to Pace University in Pleasantville, NY. The men fell by a score of 128-89 while the women were bounced 123-60.  Both Dolphins teams fell to 1-3.

Despite the loss there were key bright spots for the Dolphins.  In the men's side, the team scored gold in the 200-yard Freestyle with Tim Sweeney, and also came in third place thanks to Stephen O'Driscoll.  Nick Defonte scored a win in the 50-yard Freestyle with a race time of 24.09, and Roberto Hidalgo backed that up with a win in the 200-yard Individual Medley.  Derek Villa was a winner in the 500-yard Freestyle and Ayman El Haddad was outstanding, taking first in both the one-meter and three-meter diving competitions.

The CSI women were shut out of a first place finish for a while before Ewa Wojciechowska staked a win in the 500-yard Freestyle with a solid race time of 5:46.50.  Samantha Escobedo and Naomi Gaggi added a pair of third-place finishes as well.  

The Dolphins will next play Baruch College on Friday, November 20 at 6pm at the Sports & Recreation Center.
