The College of Staten Island is slated to take on Adelphi University in a men's and women's swim meet tonight at 6:45 pm in the Sports & Recreation Center. The men are 6-2 overall and will be facing a formidable opponent in the Panthers. The men have recently sealed the deal in the CUNYAC by beating York College in convincing manner 156-47. The women are currently sitting in fourth place with a 6-4 overall record and 4-2 in the CUNYAC however, they could move up to third if Brooklyn loses to Baruch tonight.
The men will want revenge as the Panthers beat them last year and the Dolphins feel this is their year, as they have had a complete turnaround from last year. The Dolphins also know how to protect their water. The Dolphins are 3-0 at home this season and don't want to give up that streak so look out for
Timothy Sweeney to take control of the Freestyle and Relay races.
John Pignatelli will also try to help his pod by taking first place in the diving competitions.
The women are also looking to seek revenge against the Panthers as they lost to them last year as well.
Stephanie Collyer will want to repeat her performance against York and take first place in both the 1Mtr Dive and the 3Mtr dive.
Samantha Escobedo will also try and sweep her events and keep her amazing season going.
Adelphi University is 2-2 overall this season but when it comes to leaving their water they haven't won a game. The Panthers are coming off a win against William Paterson University where both the men's and women's teams both got a win. The Panthers will try and string together two wins for the first time this season and improve their record to 3-2 while recording their first win away from their house.
