DOLPHINS VOLLEYBALL READY FOR LEHMAN IN CUNYAC QUARTERFINAL PLAY
Bookmark and Share
The fifth seeded Dolphins will travel to the Bronx on Tuesday evening for a 7:00 pm CUNYAC Quarterfinal game against the fourth seeded Lehman College Lightning.

CSI fell to Lehman in four contests, 25-15, 25-18, 19-25, 25-17, during the regular season in early September. With a packed season of competitive games after that, the Dolphins believe they are ready for the Lightning. “I think the team was ready as soon as they dropped the match to them during the season,” said assistant coach Melissa Quiles, “They know what they have to do to win and they’ve shown that they really want the victory.”

Lehman finished the regular season with an 11-17 overall record and 6-3 in the CUNYAC. The Dolphins completed with a 12-15 overall record and 5-4 CUNYAC record.

“It’s a rival back and forth for the past few years,” explains Quiles, “Lehman is a good team. It could be anyone’s game. We always tell the team, it’s not so much who you play, its how you play on the day you play.”

The winner of this game will head to CCNY for the semifinals on Friday afternoon where the semifinals will take place at 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm followed by the Championship game at 8:00 pm.
