The College of Staten Island men’s soccer team dropped its season finale yesterday evening to Bard College by a 6-1 count. The non-conference test lifted Bard to a 7-7-2 overall mark, while the Dolphins finalized their season at 3-15.

The high scoring affair saw both teams tally in the first half. Bard opened up the gates with two goals within a 10-minute span by Jacob Hartog, who finished with six shots in the contest. The Dolphins got on the board with 3:20 left in the first stanza, when senior Dimitri Sidiropoulos took an Ahmed Elghareib pass and lifted it passed Bard goalie Devon Connelly, to make it a 2-1 game. It appeared that CSI had a bit of momentum going with the goal, but it did not last long. Just 57 seconds later, Jonah Peterschild slammed home a goal off of a CSI turnover to make it 3-1 going into halftime.
